East London Design Show



Alice Stevenson will have some works on paper, etchings and digital prints available at the East London Design Show this weekend. Its at Shoreditch Town Hall this weekend open 12-8 on friday, and 10-6 saturday and sunday.

These Songs Were Begun One Winter





Alice will be joining Caitlin Hinshelwood and Rose de Borman for ‘These Songs Were Begun One Winter’ - a group exhibition of paintings, drawings, prints and textiles, exploring notions of memory, loss and friendship, from 25th-30th November at the Ada Street Gallery, 2A Ada Street, Off Broadway Market, London E8 4QU. The private view is on the Thursday, 27th November, we hope to see you there.

Matthew the Horse for The Economist 'Let It Rise'





Matthew was recently commissioned by The Economist to create a series of illustrations for a 14 page supplement entitled 'Let It Rise' on corporate IT. The brief was to bring a joyful and playful feel to the topics covered. Matthew's front cover and three inside illustrations are shown above, the entire series of illustrations can be viewed here.

Alice Stevenson - Grand Designs Magazine


Interviewed in this months 'Grand Designs' Magazine, Alice has been chosen as one of ten up-and-coming design names who are blazing a trail in the UK today. Her stunning fabric 'Treehouse' commissioned through St Jude's, the Norfolk-based company specialising in artist-designed textiles, is seen here in the backdrop of the shoot that accompanies the feature. Alice's subtle and elegant drawings continue to be much in demand and recent commissions include limited edition packaging for Vodafone and a series of book covers for Faber & Faber. An exhibition of her work is planned for November, further info to follow soon.

Ford Fiesta/This Is Now Campaign




Colin Henderson and Al Murphy were commissioned by News International (Sunday Times) through Ogilvy London to produce artwork inspired by the all new Ford Fiesta. Both artists interpreted the new design in a highly unique and innovative way that sums up the essence of this new small car. The entire project was captured from start to finish, including behind the scenes videos and photography of both artists at work.
Colin Henderson's project can be viewed here, videos and images of Al Murphy's creation will be available to view from 05.10.08. Both artists will also be featured in special one-off advertorials in The Sunday Times Style Magazine. Colin on 21.09.08 and Al on 05.10.08.

Erin's stunning use of line, texture and pattern blends seamlessly to create beautiful montages. She creates powerful and provocative images, that have a distinct air of glamour and elegance, attracting clients as far ranging as Lancome, Selfridges, PlayStation, Wallpaper and The New York Times. Erin has exhibited in London, Paris, Sydney, Liverpool, Hong Kong, Barcelona and Turkey, and has been featured in several publications including 'The Age of Feminine Drawing' by AAR Publishing and 'New Fashion Illustration' by Martin Dawber.

DDB London have recently commissioned Cat Johnston to produce this striking campaign entitled 'More chiefs, fewer Indians' for the Financial Times. The ad will appear in Financial Times publications, website and direct marketing material across Europe.

Guardian Education



Above is a recent commission I worked on for the Guardian. The commission was to illustrate a poster to advertise a discount available to University staff on Tuesdays as well as a 40p off voucher and a further illustration to adorn the envelope that the vouchers will be sent out in.

MATTHEW THE HORSE joins Unseen




We welcome another new addition to Unseen's roster of talent - Matthew the Horse who's psychedelic palate combined with quirky and humorous observations from day to day life all mixes up to create an eccentric world where anything can happen. The Guardian, Plan B Magazine and Illustrated Ape are just a few publications Matthew has worked with recently, and a feature in this months 'Creative Review' sees Matthew talk about his new 'Black Punks' comic strip. Seeing is believing!

RAY FENWICK joins UNSEEN



We are extremely pleased to announce that Canadian based Illustrator Ray Fenwick joins Unseen.
Combining astute wit and an immense drawing skill, Ray has worked with clients as diverse as Urban Outfitters, The New York Times, Pentagram and Nickelodeon. His book 'The Hall Of Best Knowledge' was published to much acclaim last year by Fantagraphics and he continues his prolific output, including participating in exhibitions globally. Ray describes himself as an illustrator who 'makes things, most of them involve lettering', a man of few words but big talent...
